Peter P. Zezima, Jr., 97, a lifelong resident of Stamford, Connecticut, passed away on September 8,2026, at Norwalk Hospital.
Peter was born on June 23,1929, in Stamford, Connecticut, the son of the late Peter P. Zezima, Sr., and Jennie Sisto Zezima. He graduated from Stamford High School. He served in The Army in the early 1950’s.
Peter worked in an electroplating business for many years, ultimately purchasing the business and running it until he retired. He was actively involved in Stamford politics serving on the Republican Town Committee for many years. He also volunteered his time as the Treasurer of the National Little League at Scalzi park.
Peter will be remembered for his kind heart, strong work ethic, and especially his wonderful sense of humor. He had a way of making people laugh and bringing warmth and joy to those around him. His stories, laughter, and loving presence will remain treasured memories for his family and friends.
Peter is survived by Jeanette Esposito Zezima, 98, his wife of over 75 years, by his four sons, Stephen P. and Penelope A. Zezima, Paul P. Zezima and Linda Curcio, Jerry Lawrence Zezima, and Peter P. III and Saskia Zezima. He is also survived by 7 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.
Peter is predeceased by his sister and brothers, Grace Zezima Vallerio, Francis Zezima, Lawrence Zezima, and Santo Zezima.
Family and friends will be received on September 15 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Lacerenza Macari Family Funeral Home, 8 Schuyler Avenue, Stamford, CT. A Funeral mass will be held on September 16 at 10:30 AM at Sacred Heart Church, 37 Schuyler Avenue, Stamford, CT. Burial will immediately follow at St. John Cemetery, 25 Camp Avenue, Darien, CT.
The family would like to thank the doctors, nurses, and aides at both the Norwalk Hospital and Autumn Lake Healthcare at Norwalk for the excellent and thoughtful care extended to our father.
