Claudette M. (Riberdy) Wozniak, 76, of Watertown, entered into the gates of Heaven on Sunday August 3, 2025 at VITAS Inpatient Unit at St. Mary’s Hospital surrounded by the love and comfort of her family. She was the loving wife of Paul F. Wozniak, Sr.

Claudette was born in Waterbury on March 31, 1949, daughter of the late Maurice and Blanche (Pelletier) Riberdy, Sr… She graduated from Watertown High School Class of 1967 and then she began her long nursing career at Waterbury Hospital School of Nursing. She proudly served her country and enlisted in the U.S. Navy. She worked for 17 years as an operating room nurse at St. Mary’s Hospital and later for 22 years in the Waterbury Hospital Emergency Room and was the Assistant Director until her retirement in December of 2015. Claudette enjoyed cooking for her family, entertaining, and most of all spending time with her grandchildren whom she loved and adored.

Besides her husband Paul of 55 years, she leaves to honor and cherish her memory; 3 children, Paulette Venditti and her husband Angelo of Wolcott, Paul F. Wozniak, Jr. and his wife Tiffany of Bradenton, FL and Erika Wozniak of Watertown; 2 brothers, Richard “Dick” Riberdy of Ocala, FL and Maurice Riberdy, Jr. of Cranston, RI; four grandchildren, Madilyn “Maddie” Wozniak, Angelo Venditti, III, Nicholas Venditti, and London Wozniak. She was predeceased by a sister-in-law, Jane Wozniak.

The family would like to sincerely thank caregiver, Claudia Alvarez and the entire staff of VITAS Inpatient Unit for all the love, care and compassion given to Claudette during her illness.

Arrangements: Claudette’s funeral will be held Friday August 8, 2025 at 8:45 a.m. from Chase Parkway Memorial, The Albini Family Funeral Home, 430 Chase Parkway, Waterbury to Holy Disciple’s St. John the Evangelist Church 574 Main Street Watertown for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m… Final disposition will be on a later date at the convenience of the family. Calling hours will be held Thursday evening from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
