Thomas J. Bazzano Sr., 90, of Waterbury, was reunited with his wife and two sons in heaven on Sunday, May 25, 2025, at Complete Care at Meriden.  He was the beloved husband to the late Christine S. (LaRosa) who predeceased him in 2010.

Tom was born in Waterbury on February 23, 1935, a son to the late Antonio and Vincenzina (Conti) Bazzano.  Growing up in Waterbury, Tom received his education from Waterbury Public Schools and was a graduate of Leavenworth High School.  Wanting to honorably serve his country, Tom proudly served his country in the United States Army. Tom founded City Automatic Transmission in Waterbury in 1963, which he owned and operated until his retirement in June of 2020. He was an avid car enthusiast and took great pleasure over the years with his 1969 Corvette. Tom was a wonderful musician who loved to play the accordion and listen to music. In January of 2024 Tom moved to Mulberry Gardens Assisted Living in Plantsville where he excelled socially and enjoyed entertaining fellow residents with his accordion that he played for over eighty years.

Tom leaves behind to cherish his memory; his daughter, Theresa Pavlik and her husband George of Prospect, a sister, Virginia “Jeanne” Guerrera of Waterbury; five beloved grandchildren, Kristen 
Pavlik-McCallie and her husband Michael of Chattanooga, TN, Michelle Pavlik of Wallingford, Danielle Bazzano and her husband Andrew Garnett of Denver, CO, Rachel Bazzano and Michael A. Bazzano Jr. both of Wolcott; four great grandchildren, Nora McCallie, Christine Cegelka, Autumn Cegelka, and Natalee Bazzano.  He was predeceased by his two sons, Thomas J. Bazzano Jr., Michael A. Bazzano, Sr., and his sisters, Josephine Rosa, Giovanna “Jenny” Baldoni and a brother, Carmine Bazzano.

Arrangements: Funeral Thursday 10:00 a.m. at Chase Parkway Memorial, the Albini Family Funeral Home, 430 Chase Parkway, Waterbury. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery in Waterbury. A calling hour will be held Thursday from 9:00 a.m. until time of the service.
