Nepton F. “Tony” Jaffer, 86, passed away peacefully on Friday, March 29, 2024 at Griffin Hospital in Derby, CT surrounded by his loving family.  He was the husband of the late Jeannette V. (Fappiano) Jaffer.

Tony was born in Brooklyn, NY on July 3, 1937, a son of the late Fazli and Shefiko (Ismail) Jaffer.  He was a graduate of Crosby High School Class of 1955, and attended both UConn Waterbury and Waterbury State Technical Institution.  Tony served his country honorably in the United States Naval Reserves.  He worked for the City of Waterbury Wastewater Treatment Facility for many years retiring in 2003.  Tony enjoyed playing golf, softball and volleyball, liked bowling and was an avid Boston Red Sox fan.  He was a member of the V.F.W. Post 201 in Waterbury, served on the Waterbury Veterans Memorial Committee and a longtime member of the Roaring 20’s Antique and Classic Car Club.

Tony leaves his three children, Frank Jaffer and his wife, Christine, of Thomaston, Laura Pelosi and her husband, Todd, of Naugatuck and Lisa Brandmeyer and her husband, Robert, of NH, his two loving grandchildren, Amanda Pelosi and Ashley Sharp, and his sister, Fatima Monti of Wolcott, also several nieces and nephews.  He was predeceased by a brother, Ali Jaffer. 

Arrangements:  Calling hours with the cremains present will be held Sunday, April 21, 2024 from 12:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. followed by military honors at Chase Parkway Memorial/The Albini Family Funeral Home, 430 Chase Parkway, Waterbury.  Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family.
