Rosemarie G. “Ro” DeFelice Cioppa, age 86 of Milford and formerly of Bridgeport, beloved wife of Stephen Cioppa Sr., passed away peacefully on Sunday, June 26th, 2022 at Milford Health and Rehab. Born in Bridgeport on April 1st, 1936, she was the daughter of the late Joseph DeFelice Sr. and Florence (Palumbo) DeFelice.

Prior to retirement, Rose started out working as a hairdresser for many years, and later on worked in the cafeteria at Harding High School with the Bridgeport Board of Education. Rose and Steve married in 1961, creating their home and raising their family in Bridgeport until moving to Milford in 2007 to be closer to their children and grandchildren. She enjoyed cooking, attending and hosting family parties, and watching her “stories”, aka “Days of Our Lives” soap opera in the afternoon and “The Price is Right” in the mornings. Above all, there was nothing she enjoyed more than spending time with her family and friends. She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and sister who will be truly missed by all who knew her.

In addition to the love of her life Steve “Ciopp” of 61 years, she is survived by her adored children, Stephen Cioppa, Jr. and his wife Darlene and Gina Cimbak and her husband Jerome, both of Milford; her cherished grandchildren, Brian Cimbak and his wife Rachel of Shelton, Cara Kardian and her husband John of Thornwood, NY, and James and Matthew Cioppa of Milford; her beloved great granddaughter Amelia; her caring brother Joseph DeFelice and his wife Jane of Monroe; adored sister-in-law Marie Lenzen and her companion Rob of Darien; and her loving niece and nephews, Sharon Fedak and her husband Frank of Monroe, Christopher Lenzen and his wife Veronica of Trumbull, and Joseph Lenzen and his wife Joanne of Southbury; William “Billy” Scovin and his wife Connie of IA, many loving cousins, great nieces and great nephews. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by a sister-in-law, Connie Scovin and brother-in-law Joseph Lenzen Sr.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, June 30, 2022 at 10:00 a.m. directly in St. Ann Church, 501 Naugatuck Ave, Milford, CT 06460. Burial will immediately follow in King’s Highway Cemetery, Milford. Family and friends may greet the family on Wednesday from 4:00 -7:00 p.m. in the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull.
