Frank S. Rinaldi age 64 of Watertown, passed away unexpectedly September 6, 2021 at Waterbury Hospital. He was the beloved husband of Dara (Scott-Smith) Rinaldi.

Frank was born December 29, 1956 in Waterbury son of the late Francis and Rosina (Vellucci) Rinaldi. He was a graduate of Watertown High School class of 1974. After retiring from FedEx following 28 years of service, Frank spent his time between Watertown and the Ormond by the Sea, Florida where he single-handedly renovated their beach house. He was an avid muscle car enthusiast and took great pride in restoring his Pontiac GTO’s which were showcased in magazines, newspapers, and won many awards. Appreciated for his sarcastic sense of humor, Frank was a friend to many, the family historian, a lifelong fan of the New York Yankees as well as member of the International Order of Odd Fellows. Above all else Frank found his greatest joy and was most proud of his three grandsons.

Besides his loving wife of 28 years, he leaves his daughters Lisa Marie Childs and her husband Andrew of Brooklyn, NY, Marisa Rose Rinaldi of Watertown, his sister-in-law Sandra Rinaldi of Waterbury, his three beloved grandsons Nathaniel Childs, Bryce Rinaldi-Northrop and Alexander Childs, his niece Angela (Matt) Eisele, nephew Anthony (Adrienne) Rinaldi, his brother-in-law Kent Scott-Smith, many cousins including Joanne Follacchio who is like a sister to him. Frank was predeceased by his brother John Rinaldi.

Arrangements: Funeral Saturday at 10:00 a.m. from Chase Parkway Memorial/Albini Family Funeral Home, 430 Chase Parkway Waterbury to Saint Mary Magdalen Church in Oakville to celebrate a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m.. Burial will follow at Mount Olivet Cemetery in Watertown. Calling hours Friday from 4 to 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
