Rose M. (Calabro) Gasparri, of Waterbury, entered into the gates of heaven after 101 years of life on Saturday, November 18, 2017 at Meridian Manor Health & Rehabilitation. She was the loving wife of the late Anthony J. Gasparri.

Rose was born in Waterbury on May 23, 1916, daughter of the late Antonio and Antonia (Rinaldi) Calabro. She was a devoted wife, loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother and aunt. She enjoyed cooking, crocheting and was very proud of her Italian heritage and throughout her entire life, she proudly and faithfully upheld those family values and customs.

Rose leaves to cherish her memory, her son, Robert A. Gasparri and his wife, Diane of Waterbury, her brother, Frank Calabro of Waterbury, grandsons; Robert A. Gasparri and his wife Danielle of Lithia, FL, Anthony J. Gasparri, and his wife Andrea of Berlin, CT, Darren M. Gasparri, and his wife Michelle of Prospect, and Joseph C. Gasparri, and his wife Bow of Waterbury, great grandchildren; Darren, Robert, Michaela, Anthony, Vittoria, Olivia and Sinita. She was predeceased by her siblings, Nicolina Calabro, JoAnn “Giovaninna” Calabrese, Dina Polletta and Anthony, Lee, Rocco, Michael & Joseph Calabro.

Rose’s family would like to thank VITAS Hospice Care and The Cleary Family all of their staff at the Meridian Manor Health & Rehabilitation Center for all the compassionate and loving care they showed to her during her time there.

Arrangements: Funeral will be held Tuesday, November 21, 2017 at Chase Parkway Memorial/The Albini Family Funeral Home 430 Chase Parkway Waterbury to Our Lady of Lourdes Church for a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 A.M. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery. A calling hour will be held Tuesday morning from 9:00 to 10:00 A.M. at the funeral home.
