Grace Louise (Kittle) Cookson, 99, of Waterville, passed away peacefully on Sunday, Oct. 22, 2017 surrounded by her loving family. She was the loving wife of the late Joseph Cookson, who passed away in 1968.

Grace was born in Torrington on June 2, 1918 to the late Leroy and Grace (Gooley) Kittle. She was a devoted wife, dedicated mother, and a loving grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt and friend. She was known as Mom, Nonnie, Gigi, and Aunt Sis to all who knew and loved her. Grace was a one of a kind woman whose smile lit up a room. She was an independent, compassionate, beautiful, and generous woman who always made people feel special. Offering comfort to everyone around her, she welcomed all into her heart. Grace was a resident of Waterville for 65 years and was a member of the Waterville Community Club. She was known for saying her bag was packed and ready for any trip. She loved traveling with her family and friends.

Grace is survived by her loving daughters and their husbands Diane Gasparri and husband Robert of Waterbury, Rhonda Calabro and husband Richard of Prospect, seven grandchildren Robert Gasparri and wife Danielle of FL, Richard Calabro and wife Sarah of CA, Anthony Gasparri and wife Andrea of Kensington, Marcus Calabro and wife Sharon of Prospect, Darren Gasparri and wife Michelle of Prospect, Marly Parker and husband Martin of Prospect, Joseph Gasparri and wife Bow of Waterbury, and eleven great-grandchildren, Grace and Ella Parker, Darren and Michaela Gasparri, Robert and Vittoria Gasparri, Anthony and Olivia Gasparri, Nicholas and Andrew Calabro, and Sinita Gasparri. She also leaves two nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by a sister Dolores (Kittle) Conners and brother-in-law Charles.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11 am on Friday, October 27, 2017 at St. Anthony Church, 4 Union City Road, Prospect. Burial will be at New Pine Grove Cemetery, Waterbury. A calling hour will be from 9:30-10:30 am on Friday, October 27, 2017 at Prospect Memorial Funeral Home, 72 Waterbury Rd., Prospect.
