Mr. Ronald P. Plourde, 73, of Waterbury, passed away peacefully on May 3, 2017 in the VITAS Inpatient Unit at Saint Mary’s Hospital surrounded by his loving family.

Ronald was born in Waterbury on February 27, 1944, a son of the late Philip L. and Isabelle (Lamontagne) Plourde. He was a 1963 graduate of Croft High School. Prior to his retirement, Ronald was employed as a tool maker at New England Die Company for over 50 years. He was an avid automobile enthusiast who collected and restored several classic cars over the years. He was a member of the Brass City Cruisers and the Oil Can Boys.

He leaves his brothers Richard A. Plourde and his fiancée, Ginny Palios, of Palm City, FL., Roger L. Plourde and his wife, Lynda, of Woodbury and Robert E. Plourde and his wife, Barbara, of Waterbury, his nephews Jason, Timmy and Ryan Plourde and his beloved dog, Smokey.

Arrangements: Funeral will be held Monday, May 8, 2017, 8:30 A.M. from Chase Parkway Memorial/The Albini Family Funeral Home, 430 Chase Parkway, Waterbury, CT to Saint Francis Xavier Church for a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 A.M. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery. Calling hours will be held Sunday, from 3:00 P.M. to 6:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
