WATERBURY – Neil P. Mulhall, age 58, of Waterbury, passed away unexpectedly at his home on Thursday, April 13, 2017. He was the former husband of Janice (Severson) Mulhall of Waterbury.

Neil was born December 29, 1958 in Waterbury, the loving son of Francis J. and Barbara (Traver) Mulhall. He graduated from SS. Peter and Paul Grammar School and Crosby High School, Class of 1977.

Neil was employed for many years at Pratt and Whitney in East Hartford. He later on worked at the telephone company, beginning as SNET, then later on AT&T in Waterbury. He was also an entrepreneur as the owner of East Enders Café for a period of time.

Neil’s passion in life was cooking. He spent hours at the grill and even more hours picking out the right steak at Stop and Shop. He cherished the memories of the many summers in Virginia Beach with his family. Neil was a devout Cowboys fan, watching year after year, win or lose.

Besides his parents, of Waterbury and former wife, Neil is survived by his daughters, Amy Elizabeth Mulhall, of Stamford, Kathleen Lynn Mulhall, of Waterbury and Alison Charlotte Mulhall, of Waterbury; and his only son and daughter-in-law, Mr. Neil Patrick Mulhall Jr. and Liomary Mulhall, of Waterbury. He also leaves behind his only granddaughter, Valerie Sophia Mulhall. Neil also is survived by his sisters, Eileen and her husband, David Pescetelli, of Wolcott and Bridget and her husband, James Bothroyd, of Thomaston; and his brothers, Stephen and his wife, Donna Mirabilio, of Prospect, Thomas and his wife, Mary, of Waterbury and Michael and his wife, Anna, of Fairfield. Neil is also survived by several nieces and nephews, as well as great nieces and great nephews. He was predeceased by his brother, Joseph F. Mulhall and his nephew, Marc Francis Mulhall.

Funeral will be held on Wednesday, April 19, 2017 at 10 a.m. from the Murphy Funeral Home, 115 Willow St. to SS. Peter and Paul Church, 67 Southmayd Road for a Mass at 11 a.m. Burial will follow in All Saints Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Wednesday from 9 a.m. until the time of the funeral.
