WATERBURY – Mr. David R. Catalani, age 59, passed away after a long illness on Dec. 24, 2016 at his home. He was the longtime companion of Ann Carlozzi.
Mr. Catalani was born on Dec. 11, 1957 in Waterbury, son of the late Fernando and Helen (Gruzas) Catalani. He attended local schools and worked for the city of Waterbury in the Refuse Department for many years until his illness.
David loved music, especially Pink Floyd, and he owned two classic cars, one of which, his Corvette, won several awards.
In addition to Ann, David leaves behind his brothers, Joseph Catalani and his wife Patricia, and John Catalani, all of Waterbury; as well as several nieces and nephews.
The funeral will be held on Thursday, Jan. 5, 2017 at 10 a.m. from Maiorano Funeral Home, 95 Willow St. in Waterbury, with a service from 11 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Burial will follow in New Pine Grove Cemetery. Family and friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday morning from 10 to 11 a.m.
