PLYMOUTH — Kenneth J. Grendziszewski, 63, of Plymouth, husband of Mary Lou (Conlon) Grendziszewski, passed away Monday, Aug. 1, 2016 at his home surrounded by his family.

Ken was born Aug. 19, 1952 in Waterbury, Conn., son of the late John Grendziszewski and Lidia (Kabaci) Gontarek. He was employed as an eyelet toolmaker for UTITEC, Inc. of Watertown for more than 30 years and loved his job.

He was an avid Chrysler enthusiast and a member of the Mopars in Motion Car Club of Kensington. Ken also liked to drag race in his leisure time. When he wasn’t trying to beat his last time on the quarter-mile he was refining his skills in his wood shop, producing notable pieces of a true craftsman.

He was the ultimate planner, from his next “big project” to family vacations and holiday gatherings; he had it covered.

Besides his wife, he is survived by his daughters, Nicole Grendziszewski and her fiancé Lance Powell of Enfield, Alicia Whiting and her husband Craig of Canaan; his brother, William Grendziszewski and his wife Alicia; his niece and nephew, Elizabeth and William “BJ” of Deep River; and many extended family and special friends.

Funeral services will be held Friday, Aug. 5, 9:30 a.m. from the Scott Funeral Home, 169 Main St., Terryville to the Immaculate Conception Church, Terryville, for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery, Bristol.
