Mrs. Pamela A. Sherman, age 70, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Friday, July 03, 2015 at Yale New Haven Hospital where she courageously battled her illness for 4½ years. She was the devoted wife of Edward P. Sherman.

Mrs. Sherman was born on June 26, 1945, in Waterbury, daughter of the late Rocco and Anne (Cherninsky) Longo. A lifelong Waterbury resident, Pam was a graduate of Crosby High School’s Class of 1963 and attended Post College studying Real Estate Sales. Pam worked for Dr. Robert Lombardi for over 13 years and later for Region 15, Pomperaug High School where she was the Contract Negotiator. Pam was a member of the American Legion Post #195 and a past member of CYO. Pam was an outgoing lady who was generous to a fault. She was always willing to help anyone in need. Pam loved to dance, especially to 50s music. She enjoyed being outdoors, camping and fishing. Her true joy in life came from spending time with her family and many good friends.

In addition to Edward, her husband of 50 years, Pam leaves behind her son, Kenneth P. Sherman and his longtime companion, Judy Vegliante both of Waterbury; her brother Mark Longo and his wife Ann Marie of Waterbury; her sister Gail Giordano of Wolcott; her sister-in-law, Edna Favale and her husband Peter of Wolcott and several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Pam was predeceased by her brother-in-law, Anthony Giordano.

Pam’s family would like to thank the entire 10-7/8 East Pavilion staff, Respiratory Care, Hemo Dialysis and the Micu Team for the compassionate and wonderful care shown to Pam over the years.
