PROSPECT — Mr. Raymond P. Magi, 69, of 24 Trotter Way, died Monday, June 9, 2014, at VITAS Inpatient Unit at Saint Mary’s Hospital in the presence of his loving family. He was the husband of Joanne (Ciminera) Magi.

Ray was born in Waterbury on Jan. 3, 1945, son of Jean (Caporasso) Magi of Waterbury and the late Joseph Magi. He was the co-owner and operator of Prime Screw Machine Products Inc. until his retirement.

He was an avid motorcycle enthusiast having owned, ridden, and built Harley-Davidson motorcycles throughout his life, as well as several old cars. He enjoyed hunting.

Besides his wife of 50 years and his mother, he leaves two daughters, Darlene Farynairz and her husband Raymond, and Brenda Richard and her husband Anthony Jr., all of Prospect; a sister, Paula Dragon of Waterbury; four grandsons, Duane Magi and Stephanie Snyder, Joseph and Anthony Richard, and Thomas Farynairz, all of Prospect; two great-granddaughters, Avangeline and Jayla Magi, of Prospect; and several nieces and nephews.

Arrangements: Funeral Saturday, 8:45 a.m. from Chase Parkway Memorial/The Albini Family Funeral Home, 430 Chase Parkway, Waterbury to St. Anthony’s Church in Prospect for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. Burial with a Harley-drawn carriage hearse will follow at Prospect Cemetery. Calling hours will be held Friday from 5 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
