TERRYVILLE — Faithe (Matney) Genua, 80, of Terryville, died Wednesday, March 6, 2013, at Wolcott View Manor. She was the wife of the late Francis Genua.

Mrs. Genua was born in Waterbury on July 30, 1932. She was the daughter of the late Marshall Matney and Jennie (Shaker) Matney. She worked at Lux Clock, later known as Robertshaw, and was a retired employee of McKesson F.C.U. She graduated from Crosby High School, was a communicant of Immaculate Conception Church where she sang in the church choir, and she was an avid pianist.

Faithe is survived by two sons, Mark Genua and his wife, Theresa, of Plymouth and Paul Genua and his wife, April, of South Carolina; three daughters, Valerie Genua of Torrington, Rebecca Fainer and her husband, James, of New Hampshire and Christine Genua of Terryville; a sister, Laurice Stanco and her husband, Ken, of Waterbury; a brother, Louis Matney and his wife, Judy, of Terryville; five grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a daughter, Rachel Genua, and a sister, Yvonne DeStiso.

Funeral will be held Monday, March 11, at 10:30 a.m. from the Colasanto Funeral Home, 932 Bank St., Waterbury, to the Basilica of the Immaculate Conception for a Mass at 11 a.m. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. Friends and family may call Monday from 9 to 10:30 a.m. at the funeral home.
