NAUGATUCK — Veronica H. (Boyarchok) George, 86, passed away on Dec. 19, 2012 at home surrounded by her loving family and friends.

She was born in Beacon Falls on April 23,1926, daughter of the late Alexander Boyarchok and Mary (Kemish) Boyarchok. She was the widow of the late Domenic A. George Sr.

A longtime Beacon Falls resident, loving mother and grandmother, during her life she worked at the family diner “Freddie’s” in Seymour, at Uniroyal and Ideal Manufacturing. She enjoyed crocheting and bingo and had a great sense of humor; never without a smile on her face.

She is survived by two daughters, Roni Sorrentino and her husband Jim of Naugatuck, Andrea Irrizary and her husband Joe of Florida; four sons, Domenic A. George Jr. of Waterbury, Douglas George and his wife Diane of Beacon Falls, Phillip George and his wife Deborah of Oxford, and Kenneth M. George of Beacon Falls.

She also leaves several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.

Besides her husband, she was predeceased by her son Frederick George and daughter Linda Jean George.

A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, Dec. 26, 2012 at 2 p.m. at St. James Cemetery, Cross Street, Naugatuck; all are invited to attend. There are no calling hours and the Buckmiller Brothers Funeral Home, 82 Fairview Ave., Naugatuck is in charge of arrangements.
