Ronald (Ron, the Fatman) Passaro, age 57 of Derby, formerly of Bridgeport, passed away suddenly on Friday, October 19, 2012 in his home with his loving family by his side. Born in Bridgeport on October 26, 1954, he was the son of the late Michael P. and Antoinette J. Passaro, and was the previous owner of Clydesdale Tavern in Derby from 1990 to 1994. He worked at the Department of Corrections in Food Services for 20 years and belonged to the Southern Connecticut Riders Association. He started the North East Cruisers Car Club about 15 years ago, and had a passion for his classic cars, music, coffee and being with family and friends. Ron held a special place in the hearts of all who knew him, whether it be lending a helping hand, giving advice or making you laugh. Survivors include his loving wife of 35 years, Marian (Piccirillo) Passaro of Derby, his beloved two daughters, Nicole Passaro and Erica Passaro both of Derby, his cherished grandson and “Best Bud”, Vincent Nuzzo and a second grandchild on the way, his two brothers, Michael (Mickey) Passaro and wife Johanna of Shelton, and Gerald (Jerry) Passaro and wife Karen of Port St. Lucie, F.L., his uncle and aunt, Anthony and Shirley Passaro of Trumbull and many nieces, nephews, family and friends. Friends are invited to attend the funeral on Tuesday, October 23, 2012 at 10:00 AM DIRECTLY in St. Andrew Church, 435 Anton St., Bridgeport with a Mass of the Christian Burial.
