WATERBURY — Alvira C. (Levenavicius) Romanauskas, 86, of Waterbury, died Friday, Jan. 20, 2012, after a brief illness. She was the widow of Stanley J. Romanauskas.

Mrs. Romanauskas was born Nov. 22, 1925, in Waterbury, daughter of the late Epolitas and Gertrude (Yesavage) Levenavicius, and had been a lifelong Waterbury resident. She was a graduate of Waterbury Catholic High School. Mrs. Romanauskas retired from the former Doval Tool and Manufacturing Co. in Naugatuck where she had worked as a secretary for many years. Mrs. Romanauskas enjoyed spending time with her family and friends and was a longtime communicant of Blessed Sacrament Church.

She is survived by her son, Stanley M. Romanauskas and his wife, Rosemary, of Watertown, and her niece, Priscilla Oliver of Chatham, Mass. She was predeceased by her sisters, Anastasia Dukich and Josephine Levenavicius.

Funeral will be held Tuesday, Jan. 24, at 9 a.m. from the Murphy Funeral Home, 115 Willow St., to Blessed Sacrament Church, 182 Robbins St., for a Mass at 10 a.m. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Monday from 5 to 7 p.m.
