THOMASTON — Mr. Donald Montambault Sr., 75, died Wednesday, June 8, 2011, at his home with his family by his side. He was the husband of Elizabeth (Wendel) Montambault.

Mr. Montambault was born April 9, 1936, in Waterbury, son of the late Lester and Pauline (Menard) Montambault. For 35 years, Mr. Montambault was self-employed as the owner of A-1 Heating and Cooling. He had served honorably in the United States Army Airborne, and was a member of the Thomaston Seniors and Covenant Church.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by two sons, Donald Montambault Jr. and his wife, Geralyn, of Oakville, and David D. Montambault of Waterbury; three daughters, Donna Montambault of Waterbury, Cherie Sturges of Thomaston, and Liz Zehm of Torrington; four sisters, Claire DiLeo and her husband, Joseph, of Waterbury, Lois Longo of Waterbury, Doris Banda and her husband, Louis, of Oakville, and Carol Bisaillon and her husband, Robert, of Waterbury; four grandchildren, Erica Sturges, Michael Montambault, Dennis Montambault and Aryn Maldonado; a great-grandchild, Julian Arce; and several nieces and nephews.

Arrangements: Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, June 11, at Covenant Church, 64 Grove St., Thomaston. Burial will be private. Calling hours will be held on Friday from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Lyons Funeral Home, 46 High St., Thomaston.
