WATERBURY — Agatha Bridget (McGrail) Derouin, a lifelong resident of Waterbury, passed away peacefully on Saturday, Aug. 28, 2010, at Abbott Terrace Health Center. She was 103 years old.Agatha was born on Feb. 5, 1907, in Waterbury, daughter of the late Joseph and Ellen (McPartlan) McGrail. She worked as a beautician and cosmetologist. She was the widow of Theodore J. Derouin Sr.

She leaves five children, Rose Ellen (Derouin) Theriault and her late husband, John, Dorothea (Derouin) Guerrera, Alfred Derouin and his wife, Dolores, Theodore Derouin Jr. and his wife, Sandy, Elizabeth (Geni) Derouin; 16 grandchildren; 35 great-grandchildren; seven great-great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. She is also survived by a sister-in-law, Antoinette (Pannoni) McGrail. She was predeceased by nine sisters and brothers. She attended Washington School, Crosby High School and Schultz School of Beauty. She owned and operated Bridget Beauty Salon in Waterbury. She loved life, singing, dancing, knitting, crocheting and tatting.

Services will be held 10:30 a.m. Friday, Sept. 3, at St. Francis Xavier Church, 625 Baldwin St., Waterbury 06706. Burial will be held at the convenience of the family.
