OAKVILLE — Jason E. Semeraro, 38, of Buckingham Street, died unexpectedly on Monday, March 2, 2009, at Waterbury Hospital.Jason was born Sept. 29, 1970, in Waterbury, a son of William J. and the late Dolores (Rio) Semeraro, and was a lifelong Oakville and Watertown resident. He was a graduate of Watertown High School, class of 1992. Jason was currently employed in maintenance at Easter Seals in Waterbury. He was very active in the Special Olympics, loved country music, Easter Seals camping trips, watching Western movies and spending time with his dad, whether it was cruising in an old car, riding on the back of dad’s motorcycle, or going to car shows.

He leaves his father, William J. Semeraro, and his companion, Jacqueline Hoffman, of Oakville, and many aunts, uncles and cousins. He was predeceased by his paternal grandparents, John and Mary (Popovich) Semeraro, and his maternal grandparents, Domenic and Beryl (Houlihan) Rio.

Friends may call at the O’Neill Funeral Home, 742 Main St., on Saturday from noon to 2 p.m. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Burial in Evergreen Cemetery will be held at the convenience of his family.
