WATERBURY — Mrs. Anne T. (Montano) Polletta, of Esther Avenue, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Wednesday, Feb. 11, 2009, at her daughter’s home in Summersfield, Fla. She was the loving wife of the late Richard Polletta.

Anne was born in Waterbury, a daughter of the late Salvatore and Leticia Montano. As a young lady she worked at Yale-New Haven Hospital and had a nursing license but gave it up to raise her family. She later went back to work as a CNA at Waterbury Hospital for more than 25 years. Above all, she was devoted to her family and cherished the time she spent with her children and grandchildren. Anne was a member of the St. Lucy Rosary Society for 50 years.

Anne is survived by her two sons, Michael Woodley and his wife Betty of Oakville and Peter Polletta of Waterbury; three daughters, Barbara Durante and her husband Marty of Oakville, Sharon Sunbury of Summersfield, Fla., and Anne Woodley of Waterbury. She also leaves her two sisters, Mary Mobilio and her husband Robert of Waterbury and Natalie Mascoli and her husband Eugene of Monte Sereno, Calif.; five grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild and several nieces and nephews. She also leaves a longtime family friend, Marie Hammond, and her beloved dog companion, Peaches. Anne is predeceased by her birth mother, Maria Teresa Ceruzzi, her son, Armand Woodley, nine brothers and sisters and one grandson.

The funeral will be held on Tuesday, Feb. 17, at 9 a.m. from the Maiorano Funeral Home, 95 Willow St., Waterbury, to Our Lady of Lourdes Church for a Mass at 10 a.m. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery. Family and friends may call at the funeral home Monday evening from 4 to 7 p.m.
