WOLCOTT — Mr. Donald T. “Buddy” Restivo Jr., 26, of 1382 Wolcott Road, went home to Jesus Friday, Sept. 5, 2008, from injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident in Plainville. He was the fiancé of Kelly Gnitzcavich of Wolcott.

Donnie was born Jan. 14, 1982, in Waterbury, son of Donald T. and Elaine (Cino) Restivo Sr. He graduated from Tyrrell Elementary School, Alcott Middle School, Wolcott High School Class of 2000, where he played baseball, and the University of Connecticut with a bachelor’s degree in psychology. He worked as a claims manager for Progressive Insurance Customer Service Center in Newington since the week he graduated from college four years ago.

He was an avid car enthusiast, both with classic cars and new cars. He was a communicant of St. Maria Goretti Church in Wolcott. He had many lifelong close friends that he stayed in touch with regularly. He will be missed by his family, friends and all who knew him.

Besides his fiancée and parents, he leaves a sister, Stacy Ann Taylor and her husband, James, of East Hartford; paternal grandmother Emily Restivo of Waterbury; and two nieces, Jenna and Krysta Taylor of East Hartford. Predeceased are his paternal grandfather, Dominic Restivo, and his maternal grandparents, Daniel and Nickolina Cino.

Arrangements: A Mass of Christian Burial with his cremains present will be held Wednesday at 10 a.m. at St. Maria Goretti Church. Friends and relatives are asked to meet directly at the church. Burial is at the convenience of the family. Calling hours Tuesday evening from 5 to 8 p.m. at Chase Parkway Memorial/The Albini Family Funeral Home, 430 Chase Parkway, Waterbury.
