OAKVILLE — Mr. Joseph M. Yezierski Sr., 65, beloved husband of Rose (Grant) Yezierski, passed away peacefully on Monday, March 28, 2016, at the Vitas Innovative Care Unit at St. Mary’s Hospital.
Mr. Yezierski was born on May 14, 1950, in Waterbury, the son of the late Henry and Mary (Szantyr) Yezierski. He proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam war. Joseph was also a member of the Oakville VFW.
Besides his wife, he is survived by a son, Joseph M. Yezierski Jr. and his wife, Jennifer-Sloss-Yezierski, of Terryville; his sisters, Julie Yezierski and Margaret Lowe of Waterbury; grandchildren, Reba J. Yezierski and Riley J. Yezierski; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by sisters Hennrietta Carpentier and Mary Jane Yezierski.
Family will receive friends on Saturday, April 2, from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. at the O’Neill Funeral Home, 742 Main Street Oakville. Burial will be held at the convenience of the family.
