It is with heavy hearts this morning that we pass along to everyone the passing of Mike DiPietro. Mike passed away last evening after several months of serious health issues. Despite these issues, he continued to cruise with us and most recently came to our Walmart show on Friday. Mike was a good and faithful friend to the Brass City Cruisers.

Mike, as a member of the Yankee Cruisers, ran several cruises and shows in the Woodbury area. These included Corey’s in Woodbury (still a favorite amongst cruisers), Theo & Gretchen’s in Woodbury, Elenni’s in Woodbury, and Dottie’s Diner in Woodbury. He then took time off from running car cruises and joined up with the Oil Can Boys and attended many local car cruises and car shows. In 2015 the Oil Can Boys hosted the annual car cruise at the Greek Orthodox Church in Waterbury. Mike, along with the Oil Can Boys have supported many car cruises in the area over the years.

Mike will be remembered as an avid cruiser and all around good friend to many. We would like to offer our condolences to his wife Addy and his family, his friends with the Oil Can Boys, and the friends he has made in the car cruising community. Our hearts go out to you. Although this is a sad and emotional time, let us think of the good times we have had with Mike. We thank him for his service to the car cruising community and his good spirits in the time of his illnesses.

Thank you Mike from all of us.
